A driver survived a frightening accident in Chatsworth after their car rolled down a cliff on Sunday evening, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 23000 block of Santa Susana Pass Road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene after receiving a report that a vehicle had gone over the side of the road.

Driver Escapes Without Major Injuries

Video from the Citizen App showed a grey sedan dozens of feet down a rocky slope, with heavy damage to its roof.

Authorities have not yet provided details on how or why the vehicle went off the road. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
