A Cal Fire captain, Rebecca Marodi, 49, was found stabbed to death inside her Ramona, California home on Monday night, and authorities are actively searching for the suspect.

Investigation Underway – Possible Domestic Violence Case

  • Deputies responded to a report of an assault and found Marodi suffering from multiple stab wounds.
  • Life-saving measures were attempted, but she was declared dead at the scene.
  • The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office (SDSO) has not yet identified a suspect or motive but believes Marodi knew her attacker.
  • Authorities are investigating this case as a potential domestic violence incident.

Marodi served as a firefighter for 30 years, beginning her career as a volunteer firefighter in 1993 in Moreno Valley.
