LA JOLLA, Calif. — The Wake Forest men’s golf team clinched the team title at the 2025 Genesis Invitational Collegiate Showcase, held at the iconic Torrey Pines Golf Club. The Deacs secured the win in a scorecard playoff after tying with the University of Washington with a team score of 63 (-9).

This victory marks back-to-back titles for Wake Forest, continuing their dominance in this prestigious collegiate golf competition.

Wake Forest Golfers Shine Individually

  • Marshall Meisel, who helped the team win the title in 2023, returned this year and shot an even-par 72, finishing in third place individually.
  • Scotty Kennon shot a two-over 76, finishing in sixth place.

Despite narrowly missing out on the individual title, Meisel and Kennon’s performances were key to Wake Forest’s overall success.
