This victory marks back-to-back titles for Wake Forest, continuing their dominance in this prestigious collegiate golf competition.
Wake Forest Golfers Shine Individually
- Marshall Meisel, who helped the team win the title in 2023, returned this year and shot an even-par 72, finishing in third place individually.
- Scotty Kennon shot a two-over 76, finishing in sixth place.
Despite narrowly missing out on the individual title, Meisel and Kennon’s performances were key to Wake Forest’s overall success.
Team Success Through Scorecard Playoff
Wake Forest’s team, consisting of Bill Sheedy, Dick Pfister, and Neel Tanna, matched the University of Washington with a team score of 63 (-9), ultimately winning via a scorecard tiebreaker.
