Near Hollywood, Shots Were Fired While Pursuing an Armed Burglary Suspect

A high-speed police pursuit involving burglary suspects ended in a violent crash and gunfire near Hollywood on Wednesday night.

Suspects Crash but Keep Fleeing

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers began pursuing two burglary suspects who led them on a chase through Los Angeles. At around 9 p.m., the suspects’ vehicle collided with an innocent driver at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and Wilton Place.

Despite the severe crash, the suspects continued fleeing until they reached the intersection of Highland Avenue and Romaine Street, where they abandoned their vehicle and ran on foot.

Gunfire Near Wilshire Country Club

During the chaotic pursuit, gunshots were fired near the Wilshire Country Club, though police have not confirmed who opened fire or if anyone was injured.

Crash Aftermath & Ongoing Investigation

A red SUV was left severely damaged in the middle of the intersection following the crash. SkyCal aerial footage showed paramedics at the scene, but it remains unclear whether any injuries were reported.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and police are actively searching for the suspects.
