HOLLYWOOD – A pedestrian was killed and another seriously injured early Saturday morning after being hit by a Jeep Wrangler on the northbound 101 Freeway near Universal Studios Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

When officers arrived, they found two pedestrians lying on the road after being struck.

  • One victim was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
