Wake Forest University’s track and field team had an impressive weekend, with standout performances at the Doc Hale Meet in Blacksburg, VA, and the Camel City Sprints Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC. The athletes delivered strong results, setting personal bests and securing top rankings in multiple events.
Robbie Grace Continues Dominance in Women’s Long Jump
Robbie Grace achieved her fifth consecutive first-place finish in the women’s long jump at the Doc Hale Meet, leaping an impressive 6.11 meters. Her consistent performances highlight her dominance in the event.
Bridget McNally also had an outstanding performance, securing second place with a personal-best jump of 5.87 meters.
Strong Pentathlon Finishes for Wake Forest Athletes
In the women’s pentathlon, Seren Rodgers and Aria Wegh secured fifth and sixth place, respectively. Rodgers finished with a total of 3,700 points, ranking her eighth all-time in Wake Forest Indoor history. Wegh followed closely with 3,573 points, marking a strong showing for the team.
Impressive Weight Throw Results at Camel City Sprints Invitational
Back in Winston-Salem, Wake Forest’s Jacob Goldberg continued his winning streak in the men’s weight throw, achieving his third first-place finish of the season with a 17.29m throw.
In the women’s weight throw event, Isabella Gera secured second place with a throw of 17.33m, showing consistency in her performance.
