CLIFTON, N.J.: A New Jersey supermarket got into the Super Bowl spirit on Friday by hosting a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce lookalike contest at its Stew Leonard’s location on Allwood Road in Clifton, Passaic County.
The event, called “Philly Fever,” was a fun way to celebrate the upcoming game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
A Creative Super Bowl Celebration
Stew Leonard Jr., President and CEO of the supermarket chain, explained the inspiration behind the event:
“Every year at Stew Leonard’s, we try to do something fun for the Super Bowl,” he said. “Brittney here came up with the idea—let’s have a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce lookalike contest.”
Attendees of the event were treated to free hoagies and Philly cheesesteaks, adding to the excitement of the “Philly Fever” theme.
Business Boost for Local Bars, Restaurants, and Supermarkets
With the Philadelphia Eagles making it to this year’s Super Bowl, local businesses in New Jersey have seen an increase in activity, particularly in bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Stew Leonard’s officials confirmed that the Eagles’ appearance is driving strong Super Bowl-related sales throughout the region.
Contest Winners and Prizes
The winners of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce lookalike contest received a $500 gift card from Stew Leonard’s, making the event not only fun but rewarding for the most convincing Swift and Kelce impersonators.
Last Year’s Super Bowl Celebration
Stew Leonard’s is known for its creative Super Bowl celebrations. Last year, the supermarket sold Taylor Swift- and Taylor Kelce-themed cupcakes to mark the big weekend.
As fans gear up for the Super Bowl showdown between the Chiefs and the Eagles, events like Stew Leonard’s Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce lookalike contest bring extra excitement to the weekend. With delicious food, creative contests, and a boost in local business, the Garden State is all set for the big game.
