CHARLOTTE, NC — Following a historic 2024 season that saw the Wake Forest Demon Deacons reach their first-ever National Championship match, 13 players from the women’s soccer team have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Academic Achievements & Honors

Key Highlights:

  • 12 of the 13 players were also named to the All-ACC Academic Team last season.
  • Senior Emily Colton earned All-ACC Academic honors in all four seasons of her collegiate career.
  • Second-most selections in program history, only behind 20 honorees last season.

All-ACC Academic Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA for the previous semester.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA throughout their academic career.
  • Participation in at least 50% of team contests.

Laurel Ansbrow (Health & Exercise Science)

  • First Wake Forest athlete to win the Elite 90 Award at the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship.

  • All-ACC Second Team.

Emily Colton (Communications)
