MELBOURNE, Fla. – After the first round of play at the Moon Golf Invitational, the No. 12 Wake Forest women’s golf team sits in 11th place at 9-over par at Suntree Country Club.

Round 1 Recap: Chacarra Leads Wake Forest

Senior Carolina Chacarra led the Demon Deacons, finishing the day T-20 at +1. Chacarra had a quiet front nine but maintained a steady pace to top the team leaderboard.

  • Anne-Sterre den Dunnen (Jr.) – Tied 29th (+2), shot 2-under on the front nine, recorded three birdies.
  • Chloe Kovelesky (Fr.) – Also T-29 (+2), matching den Dunnen with three birdies.
  • Macy Pate (So.)T-47 (+4), recorded two birdies, even-par on the back nine.
  • Sky Sload (Gr.)T-78 (+7), ended the day with a birdie on her final hole.

As a team, Wake Forest ranks eighth in total birdies (11) and is in the top 10 for par-4 and par-5 scoring.
