Wake Forest Men's Tennis Opens ITA National Indoor Championship Against SMU

The No. 2-ranked Wake Forest men’s tennis team is set to compete in the ITA National Indoor Championship, starting with a first-round match against host SMU on Friday, Feb. 14 in Dallas, Texas. The Demon Deacons, the No. 1 seed, have started the season 10-0 for the second time in three years and aim to secure their second ITA National Indoor Championship title, having won in 2018.

Wake Forest’s ITA National Indoor Championship Path

The Demon Deacons will face SMU at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, and with a win, they will take on the winner of Kentucky vs. NC State on Saturday.

Tournament Format

  • 16 top teams in the nation compete in a single-elimination format.
  • Each team is guaranteed at least three matches through the main or consolation draw.
  • The championship match will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. CT.
