WINSTON-SALEM, NC – After a historic 2024 season that saw Wake Forest reach its first-ever National Championship appearance, head coach Tony da Luz and the Demon Deacons women’s soccer program have announced their 2025 spring schedule.
The six-match slate features three home games at Spry Stadium and three road contests, including matchups against top ACC rivals Duke and Clemson.

Valentina Amaral – Redshirt Freshman, Goalkeeper
- Recorded the lowest goals-against average in Wake Forest history (.620).

- Made four key saves in the College Cup semifinals, including a SportsCenter Top 10 play.
- Allowed the fewest goals in ACC play (7) and has a career record of 12-3-3 as a starter.
Sierra Sythe – Sophomore, Defender
- Transitioned to right back and started 18 matches after missing 2023 due to injury.
- Tallied three goals and three assists, including an assist on the game-winner against Stanford in the NCAA Tournament.
- Scored her first ACC goal vs. Virginia and first career goal vs. Temple.
Dempsey Brown – Sophomore, Midfielder/Defender
- Named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2023.
- Played 90+ minutes in 13 of her 16 starts.
- Key contributor to one of the top defensive units in the country.
Wake Forest’s 2024 Historic Season Highlights
- Advanced to the College Cup for the second time in program history (2011, 2024).
