WINSTON-SALEM, NC – After a historic 2024 season that saw Wake Forest reach its first-ever National Championship appearance, head coach Tony da Luz and the Demon Deacons women’s soccer program have announced their 2025 spring schedule.

The six-match slate features three home games at Spry Stadium and three road contests, including matchups against top ACC rivals Duke and Clemson.

Caiya Hanks – Junior, Forward

  • Led the NCAA Tournament with 5 assists and was tied for the most total points (11).

Valentina Amaral – Redshirt Freshman, Goalkeeper

  • Recorded the lowest goals-against average in Wake Forest history (.620).
  • Ranked second in the ACC with five clean sheets during conference play.
  • Made four key saves in the College Cup semifinals, including a SportsCenter Top 10 play.
  • Allowed the fewest goals in ACC play (7) and has a career record of 12-3-3 as a starter.

Sierra Sythe – Sophomore, Defender

Dempsey Brown – Sophomore, Midfielder/Defender

Wake Forest’s 2024 Historic Season Highlights

  • Advanced to the College Cup for the second time in program history (2011, 2024).
  • Finished No. 2 in the ACC with seven conference wins – the most in school history.
  • Defeated No. 1 Stanford for their first-ever win over a No. 1 team.
